ROWBOTHAM
BIOGRAPHY
I’m a broadcast journalist by trade and
I’ve been involved in the broadcast industry for over 40
years, the last 20 as station manager of Rock 107. My
wife, Margot and I enjoy theatre, wine and traveling.
I’ve been heavily
involved in purebred dogs since 1975 when I purchased my
first purebred, an afghan hound. I have participated in
conformation, lure coursing and obedience.
For over 20 years I
handled professionally, campaigning and exhibiting
several breeds in all seven groups. I have won over 100
best in shows with dogs I’ve handled or owned.
During those years
my house dogs have included afghans, salukis, bassets,
mini dachshunds, labs, goldens and a Lakeland Terrier.
I’m currently owned by a Cairn Terrier.
I’m currently the
Eastern Ontario Director for the Canadian Kennel Club
I enjoy all aspects
of the dog show scene. I look forward to learning more
about the other disciplines and events such as agility,
field trials and hunt tests.
